RESUMEN
El cuerpo del conocimiento de nuestra profesión, está conformado por un conjunto de teorías seleccionadas de distintas áreas del saber, incluyendo aquellas elaboradas a partir de la práctica de la terapia ocupacional. Cuando las teorías se agrupan entre sí, constituyen lo que denominamos Marco de Referencia Teórico (1). Cada Marco de referencia, guía y orienta la acción del Terapeuta Ocupacional, permitiendo que la actividad profesional, sea congruente y eficiente. Siempre acorde, con las necesidades y realidades del usuario de nuestro servicio, teniendo muy en cuenta el entorno. Ahora bien, cuando los fenómenos de la clínica o necesidades del usuario no encajan de manera significativa con las prescripciones de nuestros marcos o argumentos, estos deben ser revisados para prescindir de ellos y utilizar otros, que se ajusten a la realidad del sujeto.

ABSTRACT
The body of knowledge of our profession is comprised of a selected set of theories from different areas of knowledge, including those developed from the practice of occupational therapy. When theories are grouped among themselves, is what we call theoretical framework (1). Each frame of reference, guide, and guides the action of Occupational Therapists, allowing the professional, consistent and efficient. Always agreed, with the needs and realities of the user of our service, considering very the surroundings. But when the phenomena of the clinical needs of the user or do not fit meaningfully with the requirements of our frames or arguments, these should be reviewed to dispense with them and use other, which correspond to the reality of the subject.
